September 14th

Here’s a picture of our house taken on Friday (9/12). The house is ALMOST done, they have the yard to put in out front and some minor touch up work to do inside and we’re supposed to be moving in THIS FRIDAY! WOO HOO!! (anyone want to help move friday night or saturday morning???)

We haven’t closed yet, we’re supposed to on Tuesday morning but we both have yet to get the time approved off work… the closing process has been a bit of a hassle but that’s ok, we’re just taking it as it comes and doing our best to accomodate what we need to.

We’ve been married for almost 2 months now and we’re still waiting to start our life together. We’ve been doing well since returning from the honeymoon, spent some of our time at my parents house and some at his moms house and a lot of time house sitting for friends and strangers who have been on vacation. We’re both working full time (though i’m only “on call” so it’s not guaranteed except for the next 5 weeks) and are busy most weeknights as well. Between both of our accountability partners we meet with, bible study, drill at the fire department for me, Bo working on various computers for a ton of people, we both get home pretty late after work and are exhausted at the end of the day. At least after this week we’ll actually have our own “home” to rest in. I’m really looking forward to not living out of a suitcase anymore and packing around my shower bag with me wherever I go. It’s actually been quite a long time since I’ve had a home.

Anyways, that’s all for now. Just wanted to update you. Quadrant did great with our house, they have a 54 day schedule they work on from start to finish and they haven’t missed a beat with our house, it’s going to close EXACTLY 54 days from day 1 as long as all goes well with the paperwork. It’s been a pretty amazing process to watch.

I’ll try to write more soon.

Warmly,
Bo & Kari

Make sure Bo has a pry-bar, hammer, and drill…even being new, he’ll need them :-)
